Good afternoon all a super early match thread on the grounds I can't contain my excitement. Frankfurt according to some reports are expecting an easy ride. The flying Dutchman referee likes a lot of yellows let's hope he doesn't spoil the match. No predictions from me on a European Cup semi-final if we play to our best ability we must be in with a great chance.

First time i've felt a bit nervous in this comp, because on paper we have a good chance against these sausage botherers.

Fussy ref and typical German shithousery and diving sounds like a recipe for injustice, hope we're wise to it.

I hope ze Germans do approach the game like they think they're in for an easy ride, they'll soon change their tune once they're 2-0 down, cunts.

I think we play a better game away in europe, perhaps because the other team press forward more than at our place, Frankfurt don’t seem defensive, so a few goals will be scored, more from us I hope

If we had a defense then I'd feel really confident about this.
We are dominant in the air against most sides when we have the likes of Dawson, Zouma, Ogbonna, Soucek, Diop around. A real threat from set plays and solid against crosses tossed into our area. Without them it tends to get a bit last ditch block and hack away at the back and we are toothless up front.
I can see this being tight. Such a pity we don't have any depth.

I fancy us to take a one goal lead to the second leg but also think both will score so I’m going 2-1. I think we will overcome defensive worries on this one and welcome back Zouma to seal the win in the second leg.
A lot tomorrow depends on temperament. Germans will be throwing themselves around a lot and Moyes has to get the lads to keep really cool heads. COYFI

"Angelo Ogbonna's back, he only came back this week. When I say 'back' I mean back in the building, so I would be amazed if he played before the end of the season.
"Kurt Zouma's back doing some light work - he's ahead of schedule which is really good - and Issa Diop is actually doing quite well as well. He just feels a little better than we first hoped, so there's a bit of positivity around those players, and because of that, it's given us a bit of positivity it won't be quite as long as we thought it would be.

"I never rush players back. It's always better to make sure they're right, so we would only put players out if we thought they were trained and we thought fit and ready to play."

Don't feel particularly nervous for the first leg as with no away goal rule and what we did in Lyon I can't see anything being decided tonight, even a draw would mean we are well in it still.

Just hope we are not all just banging on about the referee after the game.
